Dr. Kuzon received his M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and his Ph.D. in Community Health from the University of Toronto. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Toronto in 1991 and received additional training in hand surgery and in microvascular reconstruction in Toronto and at the University of Pittsburgh before joining the faculty of the University of Michigan, Section of Plastic Surgery in 1992. Dr. Kuzon has been president of the American Society for Peripheral Nerve and the Michigan Academy of Plastic Surgeons. He has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters on a wide spectrum of plastic surgery topics, and has given keynote lectures at many universities and scientific meetings.

Dr. McCord completed his undergraduate and medical training at Duke University and Emory University. He completed his training in ophthalmic plastic surgery in New York with Dr. Byron Smith. Before entering private practice at Paces Plastic Surgery, Dr. McCord was a professor of Ophthalmology at Emory, specializing in oculoplastic surgery. After receiving his undergraduate degree in English literature from Northwestern University, Dr. Chad Perlyn attended medical school at the University of Miami. He then completed his general surgery and plastic surgery at Washington University/Barnes Hospital in Saint Louis, one of the country’s oldest and most established plastic surgery training programs. During his residency, Dr. Perlyn was the recipient of an American College of Surgeons Fellowship, allowing him to spend three years at the University of Oxford in England completing a doctorate degree in craniofacial molecular biology. Dr. Rubin earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed a categorical residency training program in general surgery at Boston University/Boston City Hospital. He took time away from the clinic to pursue a two year fellowship in surgical basic science at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. During this research sabbatical, he studied tissue engineering and transplantation immunology. After graduating from general surgery residency, he completed a 3 year residency in plastic surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Rubin then joined the faculty of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He also holds a faculty appointment with the McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine.
